SUMMER PACKET 2023 SESSION

Summer Packets is a fundraising event to pay for the operating expense. We have packets starts from third grade to eighth grade. The cost is $17 each packet. These materials will keep the students fresh on the topics they have learned and next grade level materials for them to be ahead. Because everyone travels and have different schedules, the packets come with answer keys. We are offering 3 sessions during the summer with 2 groups. B1 is the Friday group and B2 is the Saturday group. This is different than the regular sessions. It is a Q & A session. We are here to answer any questions that the students have.

DIAGNOSTIC TESTS

All students need to take the diagnostic test to participate the program. The purpose of the diagnostic test to help us to group the students with the same level of math ability in the right group. This is to help the students to maximize their learning. We don’t want students to be bored due to materials are not challenging and at the same time to be lost in the classroom because the materials are too hard. It is a 45 minutes test in person at the library. We will have two groups per test day. Each group will be able to accommodate 20 testers. Please sign up so we can email you the testing procedure.

FALL 2023 Session

Topics included in Fall 2023 Session are Math Field Day, AMC 8, MathCounts, and Math Olympiad. We will be covering elementary level materials for the 4th and 5th grade, and middle school level materials for 6th to 8th grades. Lower Elementary Level will be working on brain teaser and problem solving and split into two groups. We will have a regular group and an advanced group. There is a $10 supply fee for Fall 2023. MATH TOURNAMENT

November 11, 2023

We will be hosting our annual math tournament from 9 AM to 12 AM. Each grade will be assigned one and half hour slot for the test. We will start check in at 9 AM. Each grade will receive a different time slot for testing. The test link assignment will be email to the participants. You will need to register in order to participate. Please click on the Math Tournament at the home page. It will take you to the site for tournament registration. The format will be in-person at the library with proctor monitoring. We will have an award announcement around 12:30 PM.

WINTER 2024 Session

We will start the winter session with MathCounts and Math Contest questions for the Middle School Level. For Upper Elementary Level we will be preparing for Math Field Day competition. We will heavily focus on MFD competition materials so they can do well at the competition. For Lower Elementary Level we will be focusing on problem solving, and brain teaser. We will have a regular group and an advance group. A donation of $ 10 is recommended for each student. Please click on the upper right-hand corner to make your donation.
